Track Day 11th November 2024
The team faced a hot and challenging day on the track, located on the Skidpad circuit to test Skidpad data in preparation for the FSAE-A 2024 Competition.

The track day began with a safety brief followed by the talk of the main goal of the day being skill development for our drivers. After the safety brief and the track walk, our first driver took the car out for a shakedown at around 8:30 am. The shakedown went smoothly without issues, allowing the team to confirm the car’s basic functionality.
After a few laps, the team started doing some mechanical testing to find some data on the brakes, bolt checks, aero pieces, motor temps, cooling loop temps and pump sensors.

The first driver went out again to do a couple runs which ran smoothly and we were able to gather data that will help us down in Melbourne at the Competition. Following the runs, the car was put on charge in preparation for the next phase.
The day continued with swapping different drivers throughout the run with each driver completing many of their sessions and providing additional data for analysis. We also started doing some Aerodynamics testing by string tuft testing.
Unfortunately, technical issues arose later in the day that could not be resolved on-site, prompting an early conclusion to the session.

Despite the setbacks, the team made the most of the day, gathering critical data to refine the car ahead of the Competition. Each challenge provided valuable insights, contributing to the continued development of the car and team performance.
