Track Day 08th August 2024
The UOW Motorsport team began Track Day early at 8:00 a.m. with a full schedule of endurance testing. The weather was ideal, with clear skies and a lot of work ahead. The day was focused on putting our car through its paces and refining its performance on the track.
The team started by unpacking the trailer and setting up the track, ensuring everything was ready for the day ahead. By 8:30 a.m., the shakedown was underway, with one of the drivers taking the car for two laps to ensure it was performing as expected.

Shortly after the shakedown, we began our first endurance run. The car cleared 30 laps despite struggling with minor errors on the course, such as missing cones. After a quick adjustment, the car and driver delivered a solid performance.
The next driver completed 20 laps before the car stopped mid-lap due to overheating. After a cooldown period and a few adjustments, the team decided to charge the car before continuing.
With the car fully charged, the driver returned to the track just before noon. He completed another impressive 30 laps. The car managed an additional 25 laps with our second driver, before its battery ran out.

After the car was all charged up again, one of our drivers took the wheel again for another round of endurance testing and pushing the car to its limits. The team paused just before 3:00 p.m. to recharge, aiming for one final endurance session for the day. The final endurance run ran with 30 laps completed by the first driver, followed by another 26 laps by the second driver until the battery died.

As the day drew to a close, the team packed up and reflected on a successful day of testing. By the end of the day, we had wrapped up and were ready to tackle the challenges ahead. This track day was a true testament to the team’s perseverance, adaptability, and focus. From early morning shakedowns to final lap endurance, the team overcame challenges and demonstrated the dedication that defines UOW Motorsport.
