Track Day 18th July 2025
The team held another track day at Sydney Motorsport Park, with the primary purpose of further developing a select few potential drivers, comparing the drivers between each other, refining and understanding their driving styles, and fostering a strong race engineer-to-driver relationship.
The track day began as usual, with our experienced driver heading out for the shakedown. However, we encountered some issues with the electrical systems, which caused a brief delay to the start of the day. Once these were resolved, we were able to proceed to do our autocross testing.

During the autocross testing, we found an issue with our torque vectoring system, as the inside wheels kept spinning mid-corner, causing bad understeer. Luckily, we were able to fix the problem on site. While some inside wheel spin still occurs, it is far more manageable for the drivers. Once fixed, we continued the autocross runs to test potential Autocross drivers for the competition.
During our testing day, it started to rain, which changed our plans as wet weather causes significant changes in handling, traction, and data collection, leading to potential inconsistencies when comparing drivers. Instead of gathering data for comparison, we decided to focus on developing the drivers through wet weather runs.

After charging the car, we were lucky that the track had dried up, allowing us to continue with our driver comparisons and some testing for endurance runs. Unfortunately, the earlier electrical problems occurred again, and we were unable to fix them on site, so the track day ended early.
Although the track day ended early, it was a valuable opportunity to further develop potential drivers in different weather conditions.
